In this March issue of The Politico Magazine, we will be able to read some experts’ predictions of how COVID-19 is already changing our societies.
These pronouncements show to us the opportunity to transform our societies. Note, however, that such transformation can go both ways. It can either lead us toward a sustainable, nurturing, and life-giving future, or towards a society where power and influence is concentrated in the hands of the few.
Though some of the predictions mentioned in the article was directed mainly for the US, it is nevertheless true for every country around the world.
Editor’s Note: Transforming the future into something that benefits the greater majority needs the involvement of the majority. It cannot simply be left in the hands of the government, or big businesses.
This is the time for citizens to assert their needs, so that the government transitions from one whose measure is economic, to one that serves the needs of its citizens in a holistic way.
