The only real criticism to cosmological natural selection is that it lacks direct evidence. But why should that be a problem, when science can accept quantum realities, cyclic universes, and the string theory as truths?

In this 2014 article, physician Lawrence Rifkin explored the hypothesis of cosmological natural selection, its logic, beauty, and power. For Rifkin, cosmological natural selection would provide the best logical explanation for the fine tuning of the universe, as well as provide life in this universe with complexity and meaning.

Implications for AI

If the cosmological natural selection were proven to be true, then it would ultimately answer the questions: are we a product of mere chance? Is there a deeper meaning and purpose to our existence?
