What can happen if scientists prove that there truly is an afterlife? What if reincarnation truly exists?

In 2013, Jesse Bering wrote an article for The Scientific American which summarizes some of the Ian Stevenson’s research on children who have some recollection of their past lives. Though Bering is a skeptic, he asks an important question which needs to be answered: why won’t scientists even look at Stevenson’s data? Could it be that scientists are ignoring Stevenson’s research because they are afraid of what they might discover?

Implications for AI
