In this 2015 article written by Shoshanaa Zuboff for the Journal of Information Technology, she tries to define the newly coined concept of surveillance capitalism, and explores its implications in the society. According to Zuboff, surveillance capitalism creates a new power structure where the rule of law is supplanted by the invisible hand of rewards and punishment.
