The Beijing Consensus on AI and Education

World leaders now agree: AI has the potential to disrupt future generations. In order to safeguard human development, a landmark document called the Beijing Consensus, has been released to the public.

Following the conclusion of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Education in May 2019, an outcome document was released to guide the development and deployment of AI in education. The document, now known as the Beijing Consensus, highlights the importance of utilizing a humanistic approach, which puts human rights, and the needs and capacities of people at the center of AI development.
