Samsung and its partners are building an AI that can be our friends, collaborators, and companions. Could this be the precursor to an artificial general intelligence?

Samsung Technology and Advanced Research Labs (also know STAR labs) debuted at the CES 2020 its new AI called Neon. Unlike Siri or Samsung’s own Bixby, Neon is not an AI assistant. Instead, they were designed to have conversations, form memories, and learn new skills. Neons have no physical embodiment for now, but their virtual representation are all too human.
