In this interview for Richard Martini’s Flipside, Gary Schwartz narrates his personal experience that has led him to the study of mediumship and how such phenomenon can be used to support the claim that consciousness continues after death. He also reveals the five criteria he uses to ensure the soundness and validity of his research. Of his work, Schwartz says, “if all 5 [criteria] are present, it’s our responsibility, our ethical and moral responsibility to conclude that something is probably true – even if we don’t like it, even it goes against our beliefs”.

In the way that it returns the dignity of the human being, Schwartz’s work also intensifies our responsibility to go beyond ourselves, to go beyond the physical and to search for the eternal. In the same way that it answers some questions about our real nature, it opens new questions about our work on earth, and the purpose of our existence.
