Research shows that emotional contagion in social networks is real

Where does your emotion come from? This study shows that your News Feed may have a direct impact to what you feel.

In 2014, researchers from Princeton University found conclusive evidence that emotions of Facebook users are swayed by what goes on in their social media accounts. Exposure to positive news in Facebook news feeds led to more positive emotions among subjects while exposure to negative content produced negative emotions.
