China is leading the AI race, thanks to the cooperative environment developed by the national government. In the attached article, China lays down its framework for developing AI, as well as its rationale for doing so. While a majority of its efforts to develop AI is geared towards economic development, it is good to see that the Chinese government recognizes the need for creating guarantee measures to ensure that the AI it develops will be beneficial for people. The only question is: how flexible are the guarantee measures they have developed in dealing with potential AI concerns?
