The EU wants to catch up with US and Chinese advancements in AI, but it wants to ensure that European values such as user protected. In this article published by Bloomberg, we are introduced to the new provisions of the EU draft white paper which seeks to offer more stringent measures in monitoring developments in high risk sectors such as health care and transport. 

Though still a draft, the document is important because it is the first legally binding document that seeks to ensure that AI is developed and used in an ethical way.
