Finally, someone in the U.S. government has began the first step to ensuring security in artificial intelligence.
Through the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence Act of 2018, Elise Stefanik hopes to “develop a commission to review advances in AI, identify our nation’s AI needs and make actionable recommendations of what direction we need to take”.
We hope that the studies will be exhaustive and that it will look at both sides of the AI equation – both the benefits and worst possible challenges we will encounter. We shall be looking forward to the results of this legislation, may it come soon.
