Politically contentious Wikipedia entries relating to China are undergoing multiple edits per day. Who is behind it?

Over the course of a few months, contentious topics in Wikipedia such as the statehood of Taiwan, the Hong Kong protests, and the massacre of Tiananmen Square have undergone massive edits. Some believe that this is initiated by patriotic Chinese citizens who are out to tell China’s real story. Other, however, believe that this is a coordinated attack launched by the Chinese government. One thing is for sure though, historical revisionism on the internet is expected as countries struggle to dominate the world through AI.
