Through the help of Advanced Symbolics Inc., the Canadian government will have the capacity to predict and prevent possible suicides by looking at social media. This project will research on the patterns and characteristics of suicide-related patterns so that the government can offer more effective interventions. This is an important project for the Canadian government because suicide is the second leading cause of death among Canadians aged 10 to 19.

Globally, suicide is the leading cause of deaths among 15-29 year olds. Could this statistics be saying something about the despair and senselessness pervading or present society?
