Gandhi may have lived in the past, but his philosophy is just as relevant today, in this age of artificial intelligence.

Kulkarni clarifies that Gandhi was not at all anti-technology, and that his criticisms of Western tech is owing to the fact that their “purpose and consequences and dehumanizing”.

To add, Kulkarni says that the ideal society will have an ideal technology that will help every individual find his or her own place. The age of the internet is one such world, but only when the a strong moral purpose guides science, particularly AI development, will this technology be truly liberating.
