This is how far AI has come. From a blundering machine of a few years ago, AI can now write its own competitive essay.

In early summer of this year, The Economist announced a competition which required young people to answer the question: “What fundamental economic and political change, if any, is needed for an effective response to climate change?” More than 2,400 essays were submitted, but one of these is an essay written by a language generating AI called GPT-2. The following attachment features the article created as well as the judges’ comments.
